Advances & future steps in the project Avineck

A consortium of biologists from the Museum national d’Histoire naturelle (MNHN), specialists in functional morphology, biomechanics, morphometrics, ornithology, and behavior, and of roboticists of the Laboratoire des Sciences du Numérique de Nantes (LS2N), specialized in production robotics, humanoid robotics, and bio-inspired robotics, has been created to fulfill the goals of the Avineck project. Since April 2017 the group has successfully completed a number of objectives and more work is in progress.
Prof. Anick Abourachid (FunEvol, MECADEV, UMR 7179 CNRS/MNHN Paris) gave a progress report on the recent achievements within the project Avineck.
